Internship


The USB is responsible for the internship. Please contact in this case Mrs. Marta Vohnoutová

in Budweis about your concern, even if you intend to do the internship in Germany.

At USB are all requirements organized and prepared. Students get help or support to find companies.  To do the internship at DIT is possible, but has important restrictions:

  • DIT cannot give support to students 
  • Students have to find an internship company by yourself 
  • Elective 3 and 4 have to be done in presence, during the semester

According to the examination regulations for the Master’s program in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (M-AID), entry into the internship semester requires that at least 40 ECTS credit points have been achieved - see §11 (3) Study and Examination Regulations for the Master's Degree Programme, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (MAID) at Deggendorf Institute of Technology of 20 December 2023.

The reason for this requirement is that securing an internship before completing the first or second semester is often more difficult than expected. Without having acquired sufficient knowledge from the study program, it would not be advisable to start an internship. Companies rely on the fact that you already possess the skills and expertise gained during your studies.
