    • Information on the exam

      The exam will be held on the last day of lectures, Friday the 24th of January 2025.

      You will be presenting your team work to the challenge donors, coaches and professors.

      50% of the exam will be made out of your presentation and 50% will be from the written elaboration of your challenge. Please make sure that your teachers know what part of the paper you have written (applies to each person in a team).

      We will have two blocks that day:

      14:00 - 15:30 and 15:45 - 17:15 p.m.

      • What  business model(s) could fit to your challenge? Please brainstorm and fill out the business model canvas with at least one business model. If you have more than one business model(s), use new canvases accordingly.

  • Information regarding exam requirements

    • Requirements for end pitch (15 min) 


      The team is required to pitch their project to the challenge donor, their “customer”. You should present your product as if you wanted to sell or your product/services to either your customer or to a sponsor to finance further proceedings.  

      The solution can fit the needs of only the challenge donor, but you can also think bigger and e.g. create a solution for a whole industry sector.  

      See yourself as startup/company!  

      We want to see at least a Minimal Viable Product like a mock-up for an app, a homepage, platform or in case you don’t have a technical solution, a concept for a business model etc.  

      The end pitch can be a short form of your thesis, and you should try to convince your customer(s) of your product(s). 


      Dates:  

      • Master SIM: Friday, 24th of January 2025, starting at 2pm 

      • Digitalisation College Cham and ECRI: Thursday, 23rd of January starting at 2pm 

      As we have agreed upon with you students, we can make individual appointments for presentation. They can be earlier or later than the 24th of January, but not later than the 14th of March 2025. Please make sure to make a presentation appointment in advance. Persons already being abroad (internship etc) can join online.

       

      If you have overlapping dates (semester abroad, etc.), please contact us promptly to arrange alternative dates before or after the above dates. 

       

      Format requirements for final thesis (written part)


      • 10-20 pages per team  

      • Pictures/graphics are considered attachments and do not count regarding pages.  

      • 12 pt font size, written in Arial 

      • 2.5 cm spacing 

      • It must be clear which team member wrote which part of the paper.  

      • Please also write who has which role in the team and why you have made this decision. Who has which professional background, which practical experience and which strengths?  


      Please include: 


      • market research (customer persona, competitors, …)  

      • Competitive analysis -> Who are the main competitors? How is your product/service different from theirs? What additional value do you deliver? How do you differentiate yourselves from the competition in terms of price and service? Are you in the luxury or budget segment? 

      • Business model canvas  

      • Value proposition canvas  

      • SWOT & Pestle analysis 

      • Project Timetable  

      • Requirements for Financing  

      • Technical implementation of your product up to MVP/ mockup status 

      • Further procedures (what would be the next steps in case you wanted to continue?)   

      • What did you learn throughout the project?  

       

      The written paper must be uploaded to the specially prepared section in iLearn by January 24 (midnight).
